   The Metropolitan Opera is offering free tickets to the general public to attend the final dress rehearsal of the opening night performance of the new production premiere of Puccini’s Tosca. The free open house event is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th, 2009, and will feature Karita Mattila in the title role, Marcelo Álvarez as Cavaradossi, and Juha Uusitalo as Scarpia. The evening will be conducted by maestro James Levine and directed by the critically acclaimed Luc Bondy. The three thousand free tickets will be distributed beginning at noon at the Metropolitan Opera’s box office on Sunday, September 13th. There will be a two ticket limit per person.
