President-elect Barack Obama joins the famous waxworks at Madame Tussaud’s on 42nd Street, in New York City, today. The wax replica of the soon-to-be 44th President costs approximately $260,000 to create and will be featured in all eight of Madame Tussaud’s international locations. The Barack Obama wax figure is surrounded by an exact replica of the Oval Office. Guests are invited to sit behind the desk for a photo with Barack Obama. First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to join Barack sometime in March.
Madame Tussaud’s is open year round and is located on 42nd street between 7th and 8th avenues.
