The Empire State Building’s sky-high observatory has finally reopened on a regular schedule. The building’s elevator will shoot you up to the tower’s 86th floor (the highest you can go) in a matter of seconds. Once you get there, you will be treated to an amazing view of the City (up to 80 miles on a clear day!) On your way down, stop at the 2nd floor for the eight-minute New York Skyride, which takes you on a wild, simulated tour around New York landmarks. Don’t miss the art deco lobby, featuring towering, illuminated panels depicting the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In 1955, the American Society of Civil Engineers designated the Empire State building the Eighth Wonder of the Modern World. 350 Fifth Ave. between 33rd and 34th Streets. (212) 736-3100.
