liza minnelli metroway digonis palace   The great Liza Minnelli will be heading to the Palace Theatre for a limited two week concert engagement from December 3rd thru December 14th. The show, “Liza’s At The Palace…!” has been performed around the world and features her signature showstoppers such as “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” and “New York New York” as well as a first time onstage dance tribute to Kay Thompson (Liza’s late Godmother). The dance tribute will feature the original vocal arrangements from the “groundbreaking late-1940s nightclub act” of Kay Thompson who, in addition to being an actress (“Funny Face”) and author (“Eloise at the Plaza”), was also a gifted vocal arranger, Music Director and vocal coach at MGM Studios. The always a crowd pleaser energetic Liza Minnelli will be accompanied by pianist Billy Stritch as well as a 12 piece orchestra and a quartet of dynamic singer/dancers. The concert event will feature Liza in costumes by Halston, with brand-new staging and choreography by the legendary Ron Lewis, for a magical night on Broadway. 
   The concert date marks Liza’s return to Broadway after almost a decade, with her previous Broadway engagement being in December 1999 in a tribute show, Minnelli on Minnelli, to her father, the legendary film director Vincente Minnelli.
   Tickets for “Liza’s At The Palace…!” range from $55.00 thru $125.00 and go on sale October 26, 2008 at noon and can be purchased online at and or charge-by-phone at 212-307-4100 or 800-755-4000. Performances will run Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8PM with matinees on Sundays at 3PM.
