   The Police has added another concert date on their current reunion tour, this time it’s at Madison Square Garden on August 7th, 2008 at 8:00 pm with proceeds to benefit the public television channel Thirteen/WNET and WLIW21. The B52s are the opening act for this concert date. The benefit is scheduled to be the final concert date that The Police will perform together onstage ever. Public television regards this benefit date has their biggest fundraiser in their history. Tickets to the benefit concert will only be available in pairs through a pledge to Thirteen/WNET and/or WLIW21. Ticket are still available at: $79.50, $179.50, $254.50, and $379.50 and may be purchased through online donations to Thirteen/WNET and/or WLIW21 by visiting ticketmaster online.      
   “The band’s partnership with public television kicks off Public Television Rocks! — a new campaign initiated by Thirteen and WLIW21 that will combine events and programming to expand public television’s appeal to a wider audience and will become available to public television stations across the country for their own fundraising efforts”, according to their website.
