   The annual indoors Macy’s Flower Show is a delightful way to celebrate Springtime in New York. The “Towers of Flowers” displays will combine flowers and architecture into themes and will be located throughout the main floor of the Macy’s Herald Square location. Visitors and tourists are invited to join a complimentary tour that starts every half hour between 11 am and 4 pm at the Macy’s 35th and Broadway entrance. The colorful gardens feature five lavish displays of Japanese, Tropical, Antebellum, Hydrangea and Desert arrangements. The Macy’s Flower Show will also include the highlight of the Bouquet of the Day which showcases the talents of a renowned floral and entertaining designer.   The popular Broadway Talks lecture series just announced that Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe and Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein will be joining Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, in conversation at the 92nd Street Y. Daniel Radcliffe, currently starring in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, is scheduled for May 9th at 8:00pm, while theater legend Harvey Fierstein, is scheduled for June 26 at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices are $35 and $29.    The life of the late Metropolitan Opera bass Cesare Siepi will be celebrated at the Bruno Walter Auditorium on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 6 p.m. The celebration will include former Met singer Roberta Peters, Walfredo Toscanini (the conductor’s grandson) and Siepi family members. The Italian bass appeared in nearly 500 performances with the Metropolitan Opera from 1950 to 1973.

    Harry Potter will be coming to Times Square for a magical exhibit of hundreds of movie props and costumes from the blockbuster movie series. Some of the iconic items from the beloved series on display includes Harry’s original wand and eyeglasses, the Marauder’s Map, Gryffindor school uniforms as well as costumes worn at the Yule Ball. Enter the Quidditch area and toss a Quaffle, pull your own Mandrake in the Herbology vignette, encounter Buckbeakthe Hippogriff and even a giant Acromantula spider.

    The exhibit is set to open April 5th, through September 5th, 2011 at Discovery Times Square located on 226 West 44th Street. Ticket prices are $25.00 for adults, $22.50 for seniors and $19.50 for kids. Visit for more information.

  New York icon Liza Minnelli is the latest honoree chosen by the tourism company Gray Line for her likeness to be used and celebrated on the Ride Of Fame New York double-decker bus. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 8th in Times Square at noon at 47th Street and 7th Avenue. In addition to the induction ceremony, the City of New York will declare March 12th, Liza Minnelli’s birthday, Gray Line New York/ Broadway Day. Visit for more information.
